I see ads for that in my area…. I wish I could apply for them as I do have a BS degree.. And thinking maybe I should apply hoping they could train me.

Doesn’t Stratford Career offer job assistence?

you’re searching online for them? You’ll have a better chance if you check the local hospital websites, and newspaper ads. But honestly, it is kind of difficult to get into the medical coding/billing field, because employers always require a couple of years experience. I was a certified coder, and it took me 2 years to find a coding job!!! I started out working in a doctors office as a receptionist, where I also did minimal and very basic coding (basically just data entry). But I actually learned more about coding working there than I did in school…a job such as that will help give you experience for say an entry level coding position at a hospital,,which is what I now have. I still have a LOT to learn, and there are much more advanced levels of coding than what I am doing now…that is why they require experience,, there is so much to learn and experience and accuracy is very important. Another reason why you are having trouble find jobs, is because employers usually promote their current employees…so that makes it hard too. If you get a job at a doctors office, or in the medical records department at a hospital,, you will have a great chance of moving up to a position you want. IT is a shame that schools advertise how great a career you will have when you finish school..they fail to tell people how difficult it will be to actually get a job!,,
