Medical billing people help!!
I’m interviewing for a medical billing job on tue., it’s been 2yrs since I worked in that industry. What can I do to ace the interview and brush up on the skills???
And did I mention, I really need this job!!

I can tell you what I do and I’ve almost always got the job I want. I always state on my resume that I have “strong references on request.” (I never just list them on paper for anyone to call up on the phone as it’s way too impersonal). This always intrigues the company, they are curious to see just how strong. This gets me the interview.
During the interview I show the company actual written references (original copies) from past employers and clients (names blacked out if necessary) detailing what I have done and commending me for my passion, empathy, work ethic and skills. This proves your worth and you won’t need to boast or build yourself up. Let other people do that and it’s much more convincing to prospective bosses. It also shows them that you know you are worth employing because you have just proved you have the confidence to do a good job. So if you have any written recommendations put them in your resume file .
If they ask you why they should hire you instead of anyone else, just say “because I’m good at what I do,” and point to the recommendations you have just shown them. This has always worked for me. The last job I applied for impressed the boss so much that he just stopped interviewing anyone else and hired me on the spot.
Good luck,
Koala
