Is it hard to find a medical coding specialist job even with getting an internship?
November 19th, 2009 by admin
I am looking into going to my community college for a medical coding specialist certificate. The program also offers medical coding internships in a clinic and hospital. I have read that it is hard to find a job in this field. Is it hard to find a job even with going through an internship? Thanks in advance.

The medical world holds a rich vein of different jobs from the obvious nurse and doctor jobs to adminstrative jobs. My sister wanted to work in this area, but she wasn’t sure exactly what she wanted to do. She discovered the resource in the resource box below, it has lots of instruction, and it aided her to decide what she wanted to do. They have guidance with other jobs too.
careers.scienceontheweb.net – I found such internship info here. It has lots of internships, job openings and scolarships for college students.
There are medical coding jobs on the website below. Doing an internship is a great idea, so you will have the required experience for landing a job.
I think you could get an internship anywhere doing this— hospital or maybe nursing home.. It may not be a paid internship but I would do it.. it’s valuable experience.
