I want to become a Medical Biller, how is the job outlook? & is it a job that in demand at companies?

I don’t want to work from home. I’d rather be employed at a company as a medical biller but before I go to school for this, I wanna make sure it’s a good job to have with lots of availability.

With the economy nothing is really a “secure” job, although medical is one of the more secure occupations. I currently work in medical billing and I love it. I don’t have a license in it nor did I go to college for it but I’m sure it would up your chances if you had some degree under your belt. It all depends on the company really. Good luck!
G’day thingsialreadyhave,
Thank you for your question.
The global financial crisis has had a big impact on job demand everywhere. That said, medical billing has been a growth area and will continue to be with healthcare reform and the rising demand for health services. Forecasts indicate that medical billing will be a growth area over the next ten years.
You can work from home, a doctors surgery or large offices depending on the job. Some positions require overtime.
I have attached sources for your reference.
Regards
I am taking online classes for medical billing right now..I think it is a good job to get into..even though the economy is bad the health field is still in demand..I think with a certificate or a degree you will find a job easy…good luck!
