How hard is it to find a medical coding job in the Houston area?

I am going to school to become certified in Medical Coding. I am wondering how hard it is to find a job upon graduating in the Houston area. Also, what am I looking at as starting salary?

Anyone a coder in the Houston area?

Honestly, not very difficult. Although I am not currently in the Houston area, I am familiar with the Health-care industry in Texas. Essentially, the career path you have decided on will do nothing but grow over the next few years. You could probably expect a starting salary in the 40’s – but expect that to grow with experience. A good place to start looking for a job is healthcarejobs.com
    Hope this helps

That depends on wheter you want to work for the state, your local county of the Federal government.
If you want to work for the federal government , check out this website: http://usajobs.opm.gov. On this site you can search for jobs by agency, location and field.

The State of Texas (http://www.texas.gov/) has links to a pagefull of online job connections:http://www.twc.state.tx.us/customers/jsemp/jsempsub1.html.

Try any of the links above and Good Luck!
