Has anyone tried the work at home medical billing specialist job, or any other work at home job?

Is this worth considering? I would like to work at home rather than comuting 1 hour each way to and from work. I have a decent job with benefits. I don’t have any particular skills but I am willing to get training. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life working a job that I don’t enjoy.

The work at home medical billing is tough to get into. Most medical billing companies do not hire “at home” employees, so basically you are self-employed. You have to contract with local doctor’s offices to do their billing and because of new HIPPA regulations, most doctors bill in office. It’s not impossible, just hard to get into.
