Do you have to take a Medical Billing course to work in a medical office?

Can a person get a job as a medical coder or biller without first taking a class? If I need to take a class can it be a class that you get a certificate in or does it have to be an associates degree?

   No, not any more. You must take a class as they want you to be certified. Do a google search for medical billing classes in your area to find where you can take the class, I think some place like ITT Tech offers them. Good Luck!
