Your best bet is to get educated in the field – online training or college courses. I was a coder (ART) for 10 years, and most hiring for this position is only considered for those with training. Lots of opportunities once your in the field – I worked in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, work comp companies, then found a consultant position which involved travel and eventually an at-home position with remote coding. I loved my job as a coder and miss it at times – change in life circumstances now has me as a homemaker.

Take an online training course and then go for it. Your degree will carry weight!
