Am I making the right choice pursuing a Medical Coding career?

I’m taking classes to become a medical coder. I wonder how hard it will be to find a job and how hard the certification test will be. Also what do I do in the mean time while I am waiting to becom certified? Will anyone hire me before I am certified?

Excellent career choice – coders are always in high demand. I bet you can get job before certified.
If you’re really into it, than your should definatley do it. In the mean time, read more about what your wanting to do, learn more about it.
This is a good career. Make appointments with prospective employers NOW and tell them when you plan to be certified. Tell them you’d like to interview early to check out job options. Many hospitals and HMOs will do this. Good Luck!
